Kids Say: Crocodiles, crockets and pockets.

Last weekend, our neighbours celebrated Deepavali with an open house extended to everyone in the neighbourhood. DS got to taste all manner of poppadoms – plain and peppered, and he absolutely loved them.

DS: Mummy, please may I have more…that one?
Me: More this one? Poppadom?
DS: Yes. More crocodiles.
Me: Okay. Poppadoms, son.
DS: Crocodums.

*munch munch munch*

DS: Please can I have more crockets?
Me: Poppadoms, son. *hands him another piece*
DS: Crockets.

*munch munch munch*

DS: Mummy, can I have more…that one? The pockets?

Sigh…can’t help but fall in love with toddler translations. 😉
