Water play for a hot day!

When the weather gets too unbearably hot, before you reach for the aircon controller, how about considering these other more environmentally-friendly options?  😉

  1. Find your nearest community swimming pool and head there for some splashing fun. Cool off in the water, and have a second round of waterplay fun showering away the chlorine afterward.
  2. Fill up an inflatable pool with the garden hose, toss in some toys, plastic cups and containers and splash away. Use the water afterward to water the plants in the garden.
  3. If you really don’t want to leave home, pull out the kids’ bathtub, or fill out your own bathtub if you have one. Pour in bath bubbles for some foamy fun.

Not that I’m very much of a green queen, but these options do call for very little input of effort but promise tons more output in fun.

Especially for parents of two young and restless toddlers, rather than huddling in within four walls with the windows all closed, cracking your head about what to do next, without switching on the tv.  😀
